Thailand fiercely protects its traditional culture to ensure integrity from outside influence. Dance, drama, theatre and sport all have a unique Thai dimension and a number of cultural shows and cultural centres around the country help maintain these traditions through regular performances. Possibly the best example of this level of support is Joe Louis Theatre in Bangkok. The theatre single-handedly resurrected ‘Hun Lakhon Lek’ – a traditional form of Thai puppetry, and today, the theatre maintains the art for future generations through daily performances.
