In Pattaya, there is a range of accomodation quite big starting from the guest house to the grand hotel. Usually, it's quite easy to find a place to stay in Pattaya, but during the high peak of season, better to book a room in advance otherwise you can finish sleeping on the beach.

First of all, the location of course, like everywhere else, beachfront are always more expensive than countryside, then comes the quality of the place ( Air con, swimming pool... ) and the neighborhood ( if it's quite or not ), then, if your budget is short, play with this parameters to find the best value for money but if you want to stay for a long period, the best is to rent a flat rather than staying in a hotel.
